Mannum Progress Association

"Celebrating Mannum, one event at a time."

Welcome to the Mannum Progress Association
The Mannum Progress Association is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit group made up of both business and personal members who are passionate about our town. We proudly organise some of Mannum’s biggest annual events, including the SA Truck & Ute Show, Christmas Parade & Street Party, New Year’s Eve Fireworks and SALA (South Australian Living Artists). Every dollar raised from these events is reinvested back into our community—supporting projects, facilities, and initiatives that make Mannum an even better place to live, work, and visit.

Our Events

The SA Truck and Ute Show  is one of Mannum’s biggest annual events.

The first SA Truck and Ute Show was held on the Sunday of the June 2012 long weekend as a boost for local businesses during the quiet winter period.

Run as a community fundraiser and creating an economic boost in the off-peak winter season, the event has contributed thousands of dollars back into local projects within the town, providing opportunities for local community groups to reinvest back into the community.

The Mannum Christmas Pageant is held on the first Saturday in December.  The kids have a fabulous time, and excitement builds when Santa arrives.  Plenty to do and see.  At the end of the event, a fireworks display brings awe to the children's faces.

New Year's Eve is the ultimate fireworks event, held in the middle of the river, where fireworks shoot off the barge, lighting up the sky.  People from all over come to see this display.  The fireworks display can be seen from many spots in Mannum.

SALA in MANNUM

Throughout August each year, Mannum comes alive with our South Australian Living Artists (SALA) exhibition.

Presented by Mannum Creative Communities, the Arts subcommittee of the Mannum Progress Association. This vibrant event showcases an inspiring collection of artworks from local and regional artists.

Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of mediums, from painting and photography to sculpture and mixed media, reflecting the rich creativity of our community.

Open from August 1 to August 31, the exhibition offers an excellent opportunity to experience and purchase unique works, meet the artists, and celebrate the arts in the heart of Mannum.
